Flow/Power Automate approvals stopped showing in Teams Activity notifications.

Up until May 19th we had several flows that would show up in various user's Activity feed in Teams. This option has stopped working for most users starting May 19th. It was like a clear cut-off. The only method those users can use in Teams is to add the Approval tab. However, deploying that tab and changing process for entire company is not ideal.

Did something change with Teams or Power Automate that removes approval notifications from the Activity feed in Teams?

We also tried sending approval request and observed that, it is not showing in Teams activity feed notification.
We have to navigate to 'Approvals' tab app manually and approve/reject the request. After that we are getting notification of the approved request.

Thanks for the information. This issue has happened to a large number of people in my org all starting on the same say, so we are pretty sure it is more than just a cache issue.

The problem may be caused by PowerAutomate, I suggest you delete the flow and create it again.

If the problem is still not resolved, you can try to go to the PowerAutomate forum for help.

Update: The issue seems to be fixed. We are now getting activity feed notification for any approval request in MS Teams.

Hi,

First, if you want to be notified in Teams when approvals are sent, you need to enable notifications in Flow.

If you still don't receive notifications after enabling it, try clearing your cache and restarting Teams.

Clearing Teams cache did work! This was the only solution that really helped to solve the issue. Just a little note. After clearing cache, the Approvals application is removed from Teams. So, after clearing caches, make sure that Approvals application is reinstalled back to Teams, otherwise approval requests are no visible and notifications still don't appear on the screen.

I've followed this instruction, and the notification comes into my activity but there is no red dot on the approvals icon like there was with old teams.
We really need that dot to dislay on the approvals icon specifically to show users that they have approvals waiting on them. The activity is fine but it includes so many useless notifications (liked comments, meeting requests, etc.) by default that people ignore it.
