I had already done this but still got the error.

Opening an Terminal (admin) and running

wsl --install Ubuntu

... downloaded and installed "Virtual Machine Platform" - which is also in the Turn Windows features on and off dialog.

Once rebooted, I can start Ubuntu

For me, the problem was that you need to run Ubuntu as Admin at least for the first time.

If yu run as a normal user it gives an error.

Hi guys.

If you have "Windows hypervisor platformr" turn on "Turn Windows features on and off", you have just to turn off and then reboot your pc.

In my laptop, restarting my laptop resolved the problem. And after that, it worked just fine. Hope this helps you as well. :)
