It's possible create a MASTER/Replica from Azure Database for MySQL server to MySQL on-premise?

Hello

My main database is in an Azure database for MySQL server and I want it to be my MASTER and I want my on-premise base to be a REPLICA

Master : Azure database for MySQL (principal database)
Replica: Database On-Premise Centos (replica database)

It is possible? How? please

We have not encountered any use or example where this is done but we are checking this with our Product team for more information.

@HectorUlloa-7826 - This functionality is currently not generally available. Please up-vote and comment upon the following UserVoice entry: Allow master/master replication with on prem server with for channel

The scenario outlined in the feature request is not exact but, if you request replication with on-premise to have three configurable states (Azure/On-Premise): REPLICA/MASTER (current), MASTER/REPLICA (your request), and MASTER/MASTER (what is being requested by the linked UserVoice feature request).

The requests are reviewed by the product group and if they need additional information, they will request it.

But , can I generate a READ-ONLY replica in an On-Premise? In other words, having a Master in MySQL Azure Database and replicating data but just Read-Only to an On-Premise, or does that configuration not exist?

I asked Mike a question ... if it is possible to have a Master/Replica-ReadONLY from Azure to OnPremise, but in the OnPremise just READ-ONLY

Hi @HectorUlloa-7826 - That scenario is still not possible due to the nature of the managed service. To be able to establish the configuration necessary for Data-In Replication (On-Premise -> Azure), you have super user access with an on-premise MySQL server instance whereas this is not the case with Azure Database for MySQL, so the Azure -> On-Premise replication scenario is not supported at this time. There is a forthcoming service that may offer a solution in the next year timeframe: Azure Arc enabled data services
