Why won't laptops pick up DHCP on outside network after setting static IP on office network?

Our laptops won't pick up a DHCP from our home WIFI after setting a static IP on the office network. I do not set the staic IP under the adapter IP settings; I set it specifically under the work SSID network connection. We didn't have this problem before. What could be the issue? We are using Lenovo Think Pads running Windows 11.
