Calendar - Time Scale Changes

Hey, it seems Time Scale was recently changed and removed a very helpful workflow.

(This is with the online outlook calendar)

Previously, you could subdivide 30 min increments and add 15 minute increments without changing the vertical scale of the calendar. It simply added lines to the exsisting 30 min view and did not stretch the events vertically.

I would like to keep a 30 min Time Scale (visually), and have 15 min subdivisions. This worked best to keep the view compact while allowing 15 min bookings easily. It was possible before, is this still possible now?

Thank you!

    Hi De Paul,

    Thank you for the insight.

I am looking for a slightly different implementation of Time Scale. I'd like to decouple the overall "zoom level"(how many hours are visible on screen without scrolling) from the subdivision of time.

This is how the 30 Min Time Scale looks today. This is the most helpful level of "zoom" since I can see a full 12 hour day without scrolling.

This is how the 15 Min Time Scale looks today. I can no longer see the full 12 hour day without scrolling. I only wanted the additional 15 min subdivisions of time, not this additional level of "zoom".

Here is a mockup of what I am looking for. I want to keep the level of "zoom" from the 30 Min Time Scale, and simply add 15 minute subdivions. This would let me keep a full 12 hour day visible on screen and quickly schedule to quarter hours (note the addition of 15 min incremented dotted lines within a 30 Min Time Scale). The calendar very recently had functioned this way.

    Does this make sense?

I greatly appreciate your help. Thanks!

    Dear RossCantrell, Good day!

Thank you for your reply and clarification. I tested this on my end, and it seems that viewing the whole 12 hour day without scrolling in Outlook on the web calendar depends on the screen you are using.

    Dear RossCantrell,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

Based on your description, I understand that you have a concern with “Calendar - Time Scale Changes”. We are looking into the issue, however before we proceed, we need more detailed information about the situation you are experiencing.

s far as I know, in Outlook on the web, there are several ways to use time scale to adjust how much space for detail your calendar displays. I, for example, the Day view is selected, Right click in the time-flame you may select the Time scale which subdivides a scale of one hour to the minute's scale selected, for example here if I choose 15 minutes, it subdivides one hour into 4 rows, as in the below screenshot. See Change the time increments of your calendar (microsoft.com)

You may change the view for the Time scale in the calendar settings as well.
