I realise that you want to add gmail to the Outlook application and I will do my best to help you!
I see that the section you have selected is ‘new Outlook for Windows’, if you want to add a gmail account to new Outlook, you can click on ‘Add Account’ and enter your gmail account.
- In the Email Accounts window, select Add Account. In the Suggested Accounts drop-down menu, add the Gmail account you want to add and select Continue.
- At the ‘Synchronise your Gmail account’ prompt, select ‘Continue’. A new tab opens in your web browser asking you to sign in with your Google account.
- Follow the prompts to complete the sign-in, including any two-step verification prompts that may appear (if you previously added two-step verification to the account in Google Settings).
- Once the login is complete, the Google Account Permissions window will appear, select Allow.
- Afterwards, return to Outlook and you will be prompted that your Gmail account has been successfully added. Select ‘Done’ or continue to add additional email accounts.
- If you're having trouble adding an account, you can try the following advanced settings:
- Make sure IMAP is enabled on your Gmail account by logging into Gmail, going to Settings, selecting the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab, and then enabling IMAP.
- Select the account type, usually ‘IMAP’ for Gmail accounts.
- Enter the incoming and outgoing server settings. For Gmail, the incoming server is usually
imap.gmail.comon port993usingSSL/TLSencryption. The sending server issmtp.gmail.com, port587, usingSTARTTLSencryption.

Due to problems with the system language, the text in the image is displayed in English. You can select the appropriate option using the corresponding icons or use the translation feature to view it.
If you are adding gmail from the outlook.com web page, then the operation cannot be completed. This is because if you sign in to a third party email account (like gmail) in outlook.com, it actually signs in to an outlook account under the third party email account which is not the same account as your gmail account, so it is not possible to add a gmail account in outlook.com on the web side.
