Locked out of Microsoft Account – 2FA loop, cannot access OneDrive/Office 365
Hi,
I need urgent help with my personal Microsoft account.
- I am still signed in on OneDrive and Microsoft Office 365 (subscription active).
But whenever I try to sign in elsewhere (Copilot app, account security pages), I am forced into a two-step verification loop.
- My Authenticator app on phone was not working properly so I had disabled Authenticator, but my SMS and alternate email are both configured as sign-in methods.
- I can receive OTP code on email, but after entering that correctly I get asked to confirm last 4 digits of my phone. Once done, I get this message :-
This blocks me from managing my sign-in methods or removing the broken Authenticator.“Try another verification method. That verification method isn’t working right now.”
⚠️ This is critical because I rely on this account for OneDrive storage and Office 365. If I get signed out from these sessions, I risk losing all access to my files and subscription.
Please escalate this case for a manual reset of my 2FA/security proofs so SMS/email become the active methods and I can log in normally again.
