Installing or updating Microsoft Edge on Android devices

When I was trying to update Microsoft Edge on my Mac, I got an error message saying "An error occurred. (Error code: 9) (Extra code: 0)". Also, Microsoft Edge does not show up in the list of apps in the Microsoft AutoUpdate app on my Mac. I tried restarting the Mac but the error code is still there. This could be caused by a Microsoft Edge update server outage.  (Extra code: 0)".
Was the update done automatically or only after downloading the latest version from the browser's website? If it was necessary to force the update, I suggest that you uninstall Edge and then try to do the installation again to see if the error persists.
The Microsoft Edge browser on the Mac has been updated to version 100.0.1185.36 which is the current version. However, it still says "An error occurred. (Error code: 9) (Extra code: 0)" when checking for updates. It usually says "Microsoft Edge is up to date" when doing this.
