Hi,
The main cause for the error code 0x8007000D is Windows files is missing or corrupt because of which Windows update can’t progress and hence the error.
Firstly, make sure to create a restore point just in case something goes wrong.

Stop Windows Update Service using Services.msc
Rename the C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistributionOld
Restart the Windows Update Service
Reboot computer.
Also, you could use the System File Checker to scan Windows and restore your files.
