It might have been a one-off thing where it could have redirected you to home page, as i have seen there are no issues reported in status health report for Azure.
But if you see this issue repeating again, try below and see if these helps:
- Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again.
- Try using a different browser or device to see if the issue persists.
- Check the Azure status page to see if there are any known issues or outages that could be affecting the portal.
- Try creating the resource using Azure PowerShell or Azure CLI instead of the portal.
