ADF in Azure Synapse Analytics Workspace: Trigger Now gives error message "Sync and publish your changes before clicking "Trigger now"."

We have a simple ADF developed in Azure Synapse Analytics Workspace.

Running it via "Debug" works fine.

Running it via "Trigger Now" gives the error message
Sync and publish your changes before clicking "Trigger now".

What could be wrong?

Share the exact steps which you are trying along with the screenshot of the error message which you are experiencing?

Upon further testing, we discovered that the error only appears after the default name of the pipeline has been changed. If name is left as is (e.g. “Pipeline 1”), the trigger works and the run completes normally.

Source control used in Azure Synapse Studio?
No source control used

Share the exact steps which you are trying along with the screenshot of the error message which you are experiencing?

In section "Integrate", click "Add new resource" -> "Pipeline"

Into new pipeline, add activity "SQL pool stored procedure"

Under settings in properties of new activity, provide "Azure Synapse dedicated SQL pool" and "Stored procedure name" from drop-down list

Click "Publish all" and wait for publishing to complete

Click "Add trigger" > "Trigger now" (confirm with "OK")

In section "Monitor", under "Pipeline runs" > "Triggered" status of run shows as "Succeeded"

Back in section "Integrate", change name of pipeline from default to e.g. "Test"

Click "Publish all" and wait for publishing to complete

Click "Add trigger" > "Trigger now" (confirm with "OK")

Error "Sync and publish your changes before clicking Trigger now." is given, no additional details available

We do not use source control in this Azure Synapse Analytics instance, for other steps above

Open pipeline (No changes are being made at all).

Add Trigger

Trigger now

Before clicking on the trigger now button, have you published the necessary changes to the source control?

No changes are being made at all. Signed out and in again, deleted History (cookies, cache), only one tab of Synapse open, then we get error message: Sync and publish your changes before clicking "Trigger now". The pipeline is not running.

What could be happening here? Thanks
