Issue Reporting and Manage Issues Missing Apps

Hey experts. This is driving me crazy! I have an existing TEAM with the issue reporting (I've renamed to Log Request) and manage issues apps (I've renamed to Insights and Templates). Tasks by Planner and To Do (I've renamed to List of Open Requests) I can find. My PowerAutomate flows are based on the Issue Reporting App, where end users log their requests after selecting from a template.

When I do a general search (via Apps or the top task bar), the App is there, but when I select it to Add to a team, I get the error message Something went wrong.

This is truly frustrating. Any solution would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Certainly! If you’re looking for an alternative app that allows end users to log requests using templates, you might consider using “Asana” or “Trello.” Both of these apps are popular project management tools that offer features for creating custom templates for different types of requests and tasks.

    1.	Asana: Asana is a versatile project management tool that allows you to create tasks and projects with various templates. You can customize templates for different types of requests, making it easy for end users to log their specific needs or issues.

    2.	Trello: Trello is another popular project management and collaboration tool that offers a flexible Kanban-style board. You can create custom templates for different types of requests or tasks, and users can log their requests by filling out the relevant information on the cards.

Both Asana and Trello have user-friendly interfaces and offer collaboration features, making them suitable for teams and individuals to manage and track requests effectively. However, keep in mind that while they can handle request logging, they might not have the exact same features as Microsoft Teams for team communication and collaboration.

Hi Christopher, bad news unfortunately. Nothing worked. I think MS have removed the Issue Reporting and Manage Issues apps Hopefully the channels where I already have them remain.

Can you think of a similar app I could download that performs the same functions for the end users to log their requests using templates?

Hi Christopher. Thank you for the advice, I am the owner and will try these steps today.

I’m hoping your advice means the apps still exist and haven’t been removed.

    With thanks.

My name is Christopher. I am an Independent Advisor and fellow consumer of Microsoft products, I will be more than happy to help you! I understand your frustration with the error message when trying to add the App to your existing Microsoft Teams team. To troubleshoot this issue, here are some steps you can try:

Check App Permissions: Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to add apps to your Microsoft Teams team. You might need to have the appropriate admin permissions or be a team owner.

Clear Teams Cache: Sometimes, cache files can cause issues with Microsoft Teams. Try clearing the Teams cache by logging out of the app, clearing cache from your device’s settings, and then logging back in.

Check App Compatibility: Verify that the app you are trying to add is compatible with your current version of Microsoft Teams. If the app is outdated or not compatible, it may cause errors when adding it to the team.

Try on Another Device: Attempt to add the app from a different device or web browser to see if the issue persists. It could be a device-specific or browser-specific problem.

Update Microsoft Teams: Make sure you are using the latest version of Microsoft Teams. If you are using the desktop app, check for updates and install them if available.
