After spending an entire day researching this and working with various AI systems here is what finally worked for me: renaming the uvDV.dll file in the Video Studio program directory. According to Gemini, "(This disables a legacy DV capture module that frequently causes startup threads to hang indefinitely on modern systems)." Launching consistently now.
I can not Launch Corel VideoStudio 2023
Initially I have some problems with the program. Corel suggested to reinstall it witch I did. Now I can't even launch the program.

2026-10-05T15:13:01.0533333+00:00 Corel have issued a Hotfix at https://kb.corel.com/en/131200
It is simply a zip file containing a replacement uvDV.dll, so the instructions are...
- Make sure you do not have any orphaned VS23 tasks ...
- Right-click task bar and select Task Manager
- In the top search bar type "vid"
- Make sure there is no Video Studio background process still running after a crash
- If there is an orphaned VS23 task, right-click on it and select End Task
- Rename the original uvDV.dll which will probably be found in C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 2023. Corel suggest renaming to uvDV.dll-original
- Drop the new copy of uvDV.dll included in the Hotfix zip file (it's the only contents of the zip) into the VS23 directory
- And you’re done 😀
I had found Win11 26H2 did not resolve the issue, but this new uvDV.dll does
- Make sure you do not have any orphaned VS23 tasks ...
