Are we able to totally disabled Azure PostgreSQL database backup?

Hi community,

We would like to ask if we are able to totally disabled Azure PostgreSQL database backup?

By default Azure enable the backup minimum as 7 days. But for our Dev and Staging environment, it actually doesn't matter on this, we are looking for the options to disable it totally but we can't find relevant option in Azure Portal.

In Azure Database for PostgreSQL, you cannot completely disable backups. By default, automated backups are enabled with a minimum retention period of 7 days. While you can manage the retention period and configure it up to a maximum of 35 days, there is no option to turn off backups entirely. For environments where backups are not needed, you might consider using manual backups or adjusting your strategy, but automated backups will always be part of the service to ensure data protection and recovery options.
