A family of Microsoft products that enable users to capture, organize, and reuse notes electronically.
If OneNote does create a folder C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneNote. then something is really screwed up. I can see various Microsoft programs under C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\ but no 'OneNote' folder. I even did a search for 'OneNote' under the C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Microsoft\ and the only thing it found were two SVG image files.
Note: I also checked all of the backups and there were no files located inside the 'backup' sub-folders.
Again, the ability to recover from an issue such as moving files is problematic.
If I had KNOWN that this problem would have occured, I would have NOT moved 'any' of my OneNote files.
However, rebuilding the data under Google Drive is working great AND if I move the files 'anywhere', I can still display them. I tested this by dragging a test file to my desktop.
Microsoft OneDrive developers simply have their heads in a cloud when it comes to developing applications. I should know. I have 25+ years of application development experience. However, I'm old school. I always look at 'unexpected' contingencies and the ability to have a fallback position. This also came from my Marine Corps training. Before going into a hot zone, you better have a 'fallback' plan. :)
