Double booking in Bookings system

We are experiencing a bug where duplicate bookings are being created, even when the number of available slots is taken in the booking. The issue doesn't happen on every booking, only occasional. Is this a known bug?

The issue is it doesn't happen all the time, I'll try and describe how it happens.

    1. Client books a 8:00 am lap pool swim - Using the Lap Pool swim services that have a maximum of three in the group.
    2. Another person books at 8:00 am for the Lap Pool Swim - System creates a new booking, instead of adding them to the existing booking, and pulls people from an earlier booking to that group to fill it. Their old times are then removed.

I would recreate the service but we are using it now and I don't want to mess with ay current bookings we have.

We have times blocked off and somehow an occasional booking is made outside of those time frames. We also have been having random double bookings. The appointments are not to be available once the slot is filled. However see the screen shot below where the blue booking is the most recently booked on top of an already taken time slot. We have also blocked off Monday September 7th and somehow someone booked an appointment on that day as well. Attached are pictures of the double booking as well as our current settings on the staff view side.

This is now happening with another service.

    1. Admin takes a reservation over the phone for a group booking. The slot is created with a couple of free places remaining.
    2. The customer goes online later that evening and pick the same service. Instead of it going into the existing booking, it creates a new booking.

Could this be caused because Admins has permissions to override, or create their own bookings that can exceed the number in the service?

    Hi Steven P IT

Welcome to post in the community.

From your description, it sounds the issue appeared suddenly, so could you tell us what time the issue starts is? Furthermore, if you can tell us more details about the phenomenon, that would be great. For example. did you just receive the two same booking emails or the double bookings also appears the calendar? Please capture the screenshot about phenomenon. Besides, as the issue appears as the specific service, you can re-create the service to check whether the same issue appears if it is convenient. In addition, if the phenomenon is that the double bookings appears the calendar, you can do a test that let's your user to book and cancel one of the double bookings in the calendar to check the result.

If you have anything unclear, please feel free to let us know.

    Regards,

    Joey
