How do I search for/open specific folders?

I have recently received a new Samsung tablet that I wish to use Sharepoint on, so I can easily access our company's files and folders. However I can only find a search function, not a browse function to go through various folders. Even the search function only yields files as results, there are no folders to be seen anywhere.

What am I missing, where can I find my folder structure?

Hey Tin, thanks for the quick reply.

You are correct, I would like to be able to access the folders as I do on the PC, but from an Android tablet.

It is very disappointing that this is not possible in the SharePoint app and actually makes it rather useless in this case. The website version is a workaround, but what is the point of the app then, I wonder?

Anyway, I will post this in the Feedback community, as you suggested.

Thank you again and have a nice day.

    Dear Anthony St,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

Based on your description, we understand that you want to search a specific folder in SharePoint for Android. I wonder if my understanding is correct. If my understanding is correct, I am afraid that we cannot meet your needs.

Currently, in my test, I found that the search results will not show the folder, can we even cannot search the folder in SharePoint App for Android. Please also understand that this phenomenon is a feature development flaw, and the support staff of our forums can provide very limited help. The workaround I can think of at the moment is to use SharePiont Web to meet your needs for the time being.

I completely agree with you, this is indeed a good addition to the current features of SharePoiont App, thank you for pointing this out.  Microsoft continuously aim to improve the features of O365 Product and suggestions like this is very much appreciated.  You can go to Feedback community to create a new entry or vote this entry

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Please do not hesitate to post your queries in Microsoft Community and we will always do our best to assist you!

    Sincerely,

    Tin | Microsoft Community Moderator
