Have a "keyword" column in document library that holds keywords of document, but, it does not help when searching (yields no results)

We have a business process, where our receiving department scans incoming transportation slips - this is then run through a power automate solution that looks at the document (PDF) and extracts words from the document. These words are added to the document library column for that specific document, in a separate column called "Keywords" - each word is separated by a comma, but, even if I search on anything (that is in the keyword section), i get absolutely no results.

Search is allowed and turned on, but, the keyword section triggers no search results at all - what am I doing wrong?

    Dear Thomas,

Good day!! Thanks for posting your concern in this Microsoft Community.

As per the description shared, we understand your concern and would like you to check whether you are able search via KQL, here is the reference article: Keyword Query Language (KQL) syntax reference | Microsoft Learn

If still the same problem, it seems the problem could be caused due to the indexing and I would like to suggest you create a support ticket from the Office 365 admin center where the related team can investigate further. Reference: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn

Appreciate for your patience and understanding. Have a good day!!

    Sincerely,

    Mia | Microsoft Moderator
