Words being cut off due to page formatting issue?

Hi

I am using a CV template I downloaded and cannot get rid of a margin/formatting setting that cuts off the words on the right.

As you can see with the text below, this is how I want it above.

It is obviously the place where the dates are (far right) that some sort of thing column/margin thing is cutting it off.

I've tried moving the cursor for the margins but nothing is working!

Any help?

Most templates of this type are formatted using a table. Displaying table gridlines will help in working with the text. In the example of your truncated text, perhaps a right indent has been applied in the given cell.

If you send me a copy of the document, referencing this thread in the covering email message, I will investigate the issue.

    Hi, Cassandra Fern.

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

You seem to be experiencing a common problem with document templates where text is truncated due to margin settings. Looking at the picture, this could be a problem due to the formatting of the date and possibly tabs or columns, here are some possible solutions and ideas:

    1. Check the tabs:

    • Place the cursor in the line of the date to be closed.
    • Go to the Home tab and click the small arrow in the lower right corner of the Paragraph group to open the Paragraph dialog box.
    • Click the Tabs button in the lower left corner of the dialog box.
    • In the Tab Stop Position list, check if the tab is set too close to the right margin. If so, adjust it or delete it.
      1. Adjust the right indent:
    • Highlight the text to be truncated.
    • Go to the Layout tab.
    • In the Paragraph group, adjust the Right Indent setting. Reduce it to provide more space for the text.
       3. Modify the table layout (if using a table):

    • If your resume uses a table for layout, place your cursor in the table.
    • Right-click and select Table Properties.
    • Under the Table tab, make sure the alignment is set to Left instead of Right.
    • Adjust the column widths to make sure they are not too wide for the page.

Other tips that may be helpful now you can check Page Margins/Section Breaks

    1. Check Page Margins/Section Breaks:
    • Go to the Layout tab.
    • Go to the Layout tab. Click on Margins and make sure there is enough space on the right side.
    • If there are section breaks, make sure they do not interfere with the formatting. Go to the View tab, select the Draft view, and check for any unusual interruptions.

As a last resort, you can also try checking the problematic areas and clearing the formatting. Sometimes clearing the formatting will help. Highlight the problematic text and then go to Home > Clear All Formatting (the button with the eraser icon).

If this problem persists, could you try sharing this file with me in this thread, which should allow us to see more details from the file, you could Upload it into your OneDrive and post it here, thank you for your cooperation.
