Dear BAJIBABU MUTTE,
Good morning! Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.
I'm sorry you're having an issue, but based on your description, we can work together to resolve it.
For the situation you encountered, we deeply understand the inconvenience caused and apologize for it.
According to your description, first of all, can I know your Office 365 Business subscription plan? Why do I ask because, honestly, not all Office 365 accounts include the Office desktop client app license for active Office, such as Office 365 Basic plane.
Generally, to download Office 365 apps on Windows/Mac OS, you need to have "The latest version of Office desktop" license in your Office 365 business subscription account. To verify that your account has the correct license, log in to the https://portal.office.com/account/#subscriptions page in the Licenses section, make sure you have received the "The latest version of the Office desktop".
If it shows "Office for the web," you can edit in Office Online if you have that license. If it shows "The latest version of the Office desktop," you can edit in the Office client if you have that license.

If you have the latest version of the Office desktop" in your Office 365 business subscription account, simply sign in to the Office 365 and click on "Install" button.
For your reference:
Download and install apps - Microsoft Support
Download, install, or reinstall Microsoft 365
In the meantime, you can share a screenshot of the "Office 365" subscriptions page: https://portal.office.com/account/#subscriptions
Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.
I'm sorry and I apologize for that.
I appreciate your patience and understanding and thank you for your time and cooperation.
Sincerely
Waqas Muhammad
