Hello Mohanabharathi Sadhasivam,

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. While our primary focus is on Microsoft 365 Business, I would like to provide some guidance regarding your query.

Yes, Office 2021 is a one-time purchase that provides a lifetime license. This means it does not expire, and you can use it indefinitely on the device where it is installed. However, it’s important to note that one-time purchases don’t have an upgrade option, which means if you plan to upgrade to the next major release, you'll have to buy it at full price. All Microsoft software has an ‘end of support’ date. After that date, there are no more software or security bug fixes provided by Microsoft. For Office 2021, the end of support is 13 October 2026.

How very odd.. Windows Microsoft Office and Home 2021 with the life time license does NOT work on the new Windows 11. the only option seems to be is to use 365 which I already purchased 2 or 3 years ago which due to vision impairment I cannot use. Has Microsoft in fact breached the license by NOT offering access to that fully paid version (receipt dated 20/09/23 amount A$380 from Harvey Norman).

In Australia goods sold are required to be fit for the purpose however in my experience the new Acer Windows 11 and the Office program are not integrated and cannot work in the present form. In the past I was advised by Microsoft to return the license for the 365 to the retailer who did refund but this was only because JB HI Fi were so obliging. When will Microsoft sort out the patent inconsistencies please? I will have no option but to return both purchased items to the retailer being "not fit for purpose".

Oh, thanks a bunch, so the end of support is something which, when I face and issue, I won't able to get it sorted out right ?
