Hello Kim. If your version of Outlook does not show the Report button, you can still report phishing emails to Microsoft manually, and yes, you still want to do it. Microsoft uses these reports to enhance its spam and phishing filters throughout its ecosystem.
Here’s how you can do it:
You can forward the suspicious email as an attachment to ******@phishing.microsoft.com. Here is how to do it:
Open the email in Outlook.
Click More actions (three dots) > Forward as attachment.
Address it to ******@phishing.microsoft.com, and send.
If your version of Outlook doesn’t° support “Forward as attachment”, you can save the email as .msg or .eml file and add it to the new message manually.
Microsoft has also moved many users to the built-in Report button, which replaces older add-ins like Report Message, or Report Phishing. If you are using New Outlook for Windows, the button may be hidden or disabled based on your organization’s settings. Admins can enable it in the Microsoft Defender portal, located in the User Report Settings.
Here's the reference: Transition from the Microsoft Report Message or the Report Phishing add-ins Built-in report button is available in Microsoft Outlook across platforms Report phishing and suspicious emails in Outlook for admins
