My drive has been working all this time then all of a sudden it went wonky. I tried numerous ways of fixing it, but the thing I think messed something up is when I was going to change the Drive letters on it. But then the message saying something about messing with your system spooked me. And now its Just not recognizing it anymore. also every time I put it in, a couple of seconds pass by and then it acts like it gets disconnected. BTW the only time it references Seagate is when its in the Devices and Printers menu. It does not show up is Disk management. It also says eject portable not Seagate.

The best option would be to go to the Seagate website to download the free SeaTools utility they provide and use that to diagnose that drive to see if that can get the drive working.

In that case, most likely, there is a hardware fault on that drive, it is not a software problem.

If that drive is also not working on another PC, then there may be a hardware fault on the drive.

Open Command Prompt by right clicking its icon and select' Run as Administrator.

Run this command and hit Enter:

    diskpart

Run this command and hit Enter:

    list disk

Please provide a screenshot of the output from that command.

That is not good, try connecting that drive up to another PC to see if the drive is recognized and works on that PC.
