DirectX End-User Runtime fail to install with windows 11 24H2
I have a game that is giving the error "DirectX Runtime needed" I am using the Epic Games launcher. I started with their support first, and exhausted their suggestions, and they said it must be a Microsoft issue.
I click "check for updates" constantly but cannot get the 25H2 yet. And yes i have "get the latest" checked.
I have DirectX 12 installed, and I ran the dxdiag to find it.
Microsoft recommended I run the installer, it fails to install.
I looked up that failure and it was recommended I install other components (that I already have) but I tried to install them anyway. Those installers won't install either.
I am on a fresh install of windows 11 with all updates installed. I have made no other changes. All drivers are up to date according to Windows. I am logged in with an administrator account, and i have been running installers as admin, i have tried turning of antivirus, etc. Nothing has helped. All of the Microsoft self-help articles related to this have suggested other things that either don't do anything, or recommend a sub program of some kind that also won't run or work. I am lost.
