i had the same problem at my laptop,

when i copyed the iso file i was about to burn on the disc trough network

and burned it on my packard bell imedia it worked fine and fast,

the problem is cause slow driver,

if you want to make bootable cd/dvd or want to store files on it then just use a usb,

or just buy a driver that supports dvd rw

    Hello,

So the Fix-it designed for Windows 7 does not recognize this as Windows 7.

It could be that this is because it was designed for 32 bit, but I do not see anything indicating this.

The fix-it forums may be able to help with that or at least give an explanation:

What happened with the clean boot troubleshooting?

    Let us know.

    Best regards,

    Matthew_Ha

I tired running the Microsoft DVD Fix It program, but it came back that my Windows 7 professional 64 bit operating system was not supported?

    Hi Mathew,

Yes I looked at that stream.

I already checked to make sure my bluray burner driver and firmware were the latest.

I tried IMGBurn which was also recommened by Photodex, and I could not get any to burn, along with Cyberlink Power to Go burner which had worked previously.

I can't get Windows disc image burner to even recognize Blu-ray's from a spindle that was fine before.

The only way I can get to burn a DVD is to restart my computer, and close all programs, and make sure none are running the backgroud with Windows task manager. Then I can burn one DVD, but the second one I try to burn has the 301 error. The only thing running in the background are Windows system programs?

Before I had no issues burning DVD's and Blu-ray's with this computer and Windows Disc Image Burner with a 1% or less error rate on iso file burns, with closing all programs and clearing all files including Norton Anti Virus and silent mode. I have a list of all things I close each time before trying to burn DVD's which worked fine before.

Are there any updates to Windows Disc Image burner? I didn't see it as a separater program, but only must be updated with my Windows Updates. Windows 7 Professional.

Still looking for a solution. Happy Holidays and 2012. Harry

I tried to Burn a second DVD this morning and it failed right away,

In the background 3 programs were running, Microsoft windows search filter host, indexer, and protocol host.

I am burning with Windows Disc Image Burner.

I have also noticed system issues in the past when Windows Media Player Network Sharing starts running in the background.

Still the burn process is taking up less than half of my system resources, and I am not doing anything else at the same time to try and prevent burn failures.
