Change Theme back to "No theme"

I haven't seen any discussion on the dilemma I've gotten myself into.  I played around with "Theme" and "Background" and also finally found out how to turn off the "People" icon on the task bar.  Unfortunately, now that I HAVE selected a theme, I find that I DON'T LIKE having it, because I don't generally turn off my computer and the "Theme" seems to be the thing that is now preventing my monitor from going to sleep (anyway, it seems to be staying active all the time now).  I would very much like to return to having "No Theme Selected," but if that is possible, I'm sure not seeing how to do it.  I was "upgraded" to Windows 10 Creators Edition, and if it helps anyone figure out what is going on, I was getting messages a while ago that a "file is missing" from a Theme (nothing specified about WHICH Theme!) and did I want to keep or delete that Theme (not to be too obnoxious here, but how can I decide when I have no idea WHICH Theme it's asking me about???!!!!!).  Can anyone suggest something for me to try to get back to where I was before?

Open Start > Settings > Personalization > Background

Click in the Background list box

    Choose Picture

Choose a picture of the available ones

    This should turn off themes.

You can choose a background color.

EUREKA!!  I finally figured out that the problem was that I had turned on the "Lock Screen" switch.  Quite obviously, THAT is what caused my problems with Themes and Backgrounds.  (Microsoft, PLEASE note that comment is both sarcastic AND snarky!!!)

Thanks, Andre, for trying to help me figure out what I messed up.

That seems to be exactly the problem, Andre.  That is what things were like BEFORE I messed around with the Theme settings.  Now that I selected a Theme, it REPLACED my background settings.  Then, when I change the background settings BACK to what they were, which I can do successfully, I am STILL stuck with the Theme that seems to activate instead of the computer and monitor going to sleep.  And, again, the Theme settings won't let me select nothing at all -- I can only change it to a different theme.

Well, you can click in the Background list box, choose Slideshow, click Browse and select the folder containing your personal images independent of using a theme.

I appreciate your suggestion, Andre, but that solution also turns off something else that I have always used, which is to point Windows at a folder that I created to display backgrounds that are images from my travels.  The thing I'm trying to get rid of is that it appears that something I changed is causing the computer to continue feeding images to my monitor so the monitor is prevented from going to sleep.  What I used to have was that when I "woke up" the computer, I would get a picture that was a view out to sea from something like a sea cave.  When I would hit "Enter," I would then get the screen asking for my PIN.  ONCE THAT WAS ENTERED, the background would be the slideshow of my images.  Your fix now just gives me the selected photo and not my images.
