USB Transceiver of Microsoft Wireless 2000 Not Working Suddenly

Dear Microsoft Team

I have been using Wireless Desktop 2000 Mouse & Keyboard from over 2 years. last few days, it has stopped working all of a sudden. Please note, there has been NO physical damage. I have updated the latest Drivers from Microsoft Support website as well.

It sometimes works well, it catches signals and it will work but all of a sudden it will stop working.

Is there any solution or can this be replaced or can I buy ONLY the transreceiver?

I have tried both Method 1 & 2. It still does not work.

My belief is the USB Trans receiver is not working and has got spoilt, I need to replace it. Please confirm that ONLY replacement of USB trans receiver is possible and where will I get it done Mumbai, India?

    Regards

    Hi Chintan,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Was there any recent changes made to the system?

May I know the make and the model number of the system?

    Method 1:

    Method 2:

    • Uninstall the current drivers that is installed on the system and download  the driver with the help of this link and install it.
    • Reboot the computer once and check.

If you still face the issue, reply to this post with the question above and the error that you get.

    Hope it helps.
