Mouse and Keyboard lose their connection to Windows 10

For some time now, the mouse and the keyboard have been losing their connection, and being unresponsive after some time using them. The only way to make them work is unplug the USB and plug it back on a different port. Plugging it in the same port does nothing. Then after some minutes, hours, or even days, the problem arises again. There doesn't seem to be a pattern to it. The Mouse is Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000 and the keyboard is the Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 3050. I have Windows 10 64bit installed, with all the recent updates and the drivers installed. If you need anything else to provide an answer, please say so.

Thank you in advance.

Thank you everyone who gave your opinions and solutions. Thanks to all of you I think I figured it out, for now.

I managed to install the newest BIOS, version F6, which says that it fixes compatibility issues with USB's. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the USB drivers, and made Windows always give power to them, so they never go to "sleep".

This far, it hasn't lost connection for over 18 hours. If it loses connection again, I'll let you know.

Thank you Andre and Alex for your tremendous help.

    Best Regards

    Sts013

    Hello Alex

Thank you for suggesting those answers.

Sadly, i have tried both of them, and neither has worked, so I'm looking forward to your other possible solution.

    Hello Andre

Thank you for taking the time to answer. I will try the methods you suggested from the site and let you know.

The System Model is X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming and the System SKU is Default string. If i didn't provide the right information or you need additional info, please let me know.

Edit: Tried all the methods from the site, and none of them had any result. The mouse/keyboard do have power, they work on other PC's, the YSB Receiver doesn't have a Connect button, and the drivers are up to date.

    Hi Sts013

What is the exact make and model?

    Open Start, type: system information

    Hit Enter

    Click System summary

    Look in the right pane

Copy the system sku info into reply here.
