Hi Kykybomb12, can you try these

step 1 - how to play games offline - to avoid cloud sync

    a. Launch the Microsoft Store app.

    b. Click the menu icon in the top-right corner (“…”).

    c. Click the “Settings” link.

    d. Under “Offline Permissions,” turn the toggle button to “On.” Follow the prompts which appear.

    Disconnect your pc from internet

    1. Backup your folder - C:\Users\yourprofilename\AppData\Local\Packages\39EA002F.FINALFANTASYXVforPC_n746a19ndrrjg\SystemAppData\wgs - copy to other folder like C:\Backup\
    2. Look in this folder, if you got a file bigger than 3MB - this is your save (if there are more of them, look for date-time edited-its the date the game was saved)

If there isn't file bigger than 3MB - you are out of luck :-/

    4.Delete whole folder C:\Users\yourprofilename\AppData\Local\Packages\39EA002F.FINALFANTASYXVforPC_n746a19ndrrjg\SystemAppData\wgs

Check, if you are really disconnected from the net

    1. Start a new game, skip the tutorial, skip the cutscene , you will start at hammerhead, wait until you can play the game. Open menu, load and you will see 2 autosaves - remember 1. save date and time, cancel menu. Alt+TAB to desktop, or just quit the game
    2. Now go to C:\Users\yourprofilename\AppData\Local\Packages\39EA002F.FINALFANTASYXVforPC_n746a19ndrrjg\SystemAppData\wgs\ 000901F5E5ACCCCE_B53301008E414577B8ED4A547DBA0981- this is mine number, maybe your will be different, it doesn't matter. In this folder find subfolder with the date from 5. step , open this folder
    3. There will be 2 files - one big over 3mb - this is save and second will be container.numberx. Copy here your save from your backup (ONLY SAVE not container-its not working with container from backup) , now you have to rename this backup save to file which is already there - just hit rename of the new save, copy name, delete it (whole file) and after that rename your backup file to this name.
    4. Start game or alt+tab back to the game, Open menu - load and your save should work,
    5. Save the game , to check if it's working, try to load, if everything is ok, you can quit the game, connect your pc to the net, when you start the game again there will be a popup window about cloud resync, just hit use local data - to upload your new data to the cloud.

Please let me know if this works

Hi My name is Jeremy, a Windows Community Member. I'll be happy to help you out today. Let’s see what I can do. :)

Can you try the following that might help you resolve this issue

    SOLUTION:

    1. Go to C:\Users{USERNAME}\Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XV\Steam{RANDONUMBER}\savestorage and copy them somewhere safe
    2. Go into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata{RANDONUMBER}{RANDONUMBER} - just look for the dates to find out which number is your game, mine was most recently saved.
    3. If there is a "remote" folder with saves - ok, if not start a NEW game and make at least 1 save (or autosave)
    4. Take your save files from STEP1 and put them into remote/gameplay (f.e slot0 slot1 slot2)
    5. Quit Steam
    6. Go 1 folder above and find remotecache.vdf file -edit it

As you can see this is the list of saved files and their parameters. What I did was only this:

    • found gameplay/slot0/gameplay0.save and entered the correct size (you can right-click on the file and get the byte size (not the disk size)) and the correct sha. You can use any application to count a sha-1 for you I used this website https://md5file.com/calculator
    • I did the same for "gameplay/universal_data.save"

... and thats it ..I was afraid I have to put all of the files and put correct localtime etc - but no :)

That was enough, when I launched the game (offline) and it recognised my 3 save files :)

This is a testimonial from a Final Fantasy XV user as well from

    Regards,

    Jeremy
