Cyberghost VPN wont start all of a sudden.

It has been working fine for so many months. Now all of a sudden this is happening. The company is at loss they claim its a windows problem. I have tried

  1. Clean uninstall and reinstall
  2. reg removed
  3. run admin while installation
  4. run .exe as admin

4.1) My antivirus is switched off (norton)

no windows defender or firewall

  1. Windows does not displayu any details of the error too. Only this error and no other

    I had the same issue. After a few days without connection from my ISP my CyberGhost client stoped working.
    It didn't want to open the client, but task manager did find it in the background, but I wasnt able to access it.
    Tried to uninstal, reinstall and a bunch of other things, but nothing worked.

    I finaly found this:

    After completing the first step in the tutorial and restarting the computer, it worked.

    I think the problem is not Microsoft or Windows. Problem is CyberGhost latest update. I had problem with CyberGhost crashing all of sudden and I try to reinstall.. later I found in Event Viewer that their Code is crashing. I submit few emails to them and they are not responding to them yet. I suggest to email to CyberGhost so they fix their programming issue.

    I also have this issue ... I have tried many things .. But still not able to open/run the cyberghost application.

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

    I'm glad to help you.

    You seem to have tried most of the solutions. You can create a local administrator account, install your vpn software again, and check whether it can be started normally.

    I suggest you try to uninstall your Norton (temporary), and then reinstall the vpn to check whether the problem disappears. To eliminate the problem caused by Norton.
