Hello ,
Good to see you in Microsoft Community.
You can follow the steps below:
- You can adjust the audio enhancement settings for that microphone. Win + R to open "Run", type "mmsys.cpl", press Enter to open Sound > Recording tab > right-click your microphone > Properties > Enhancements tab, adjust the Audio Enhancement and relative settings.
- Check your microphone settings: Right-click on the speaker icon in the taskbar and select "Sounds". Click on the "Recording" tab and select your microphone. Click on "Properties" and then the "Advanced" tab. Make sure that the default format is set to the highest quality available (e.g. 16 bit, 48000 Hz).
- You can run the audio troubleshooter. Win + Q to open the search box, type "Find and fix problems with playing sound" and press Enter to open the troubleshooter and follow the prompts.
- Try a different USB port: If you're using a USB microphone, try plugging it into a different USB port to see if that resolves the issue.
If the problem still exits, you can uninstall the microphone in Device Manager ("Win*" + "X" > "Device Manager" > "Audio inputs and outputs" or "Sound, video and game controllers", find* your microphone device*, then right click > "Uninstall device"*), then reboot to see if it works. The system will automatically search and install the driver suitable for your device generally.
If it still does not work, you may go to the official website of your device manufacturer to download the corresponding model driver and install it manually. After the installation is completed, reboot and see if the device works properly.
If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let me know.
