So i have recently installed windows 10 to my computer with the help of Dave (Special thanks to Dave) But it is so laggy that it is almost unusable

I think i lack drivers because i just installed the Windows 10

The computer is kinda old because it was given from the school

it doesnt have a graphich card but Intel HD which just provides images to be shown

Almost every thing is laggy except the cursor

it gives out 3-6 FPS on normal stuff and 1-0 FPS in-game

The computer was fully EMPTY (except the old program files) and so it is now but i have installed some games and Minecraft to test

Roblox gave out 4 FPS

Minecraft didnt even boot

    Roblox vydal 4 FPS

    Minecraft se ani nespustil

    lagging slow

    Hello, Batu Ozay

    Try this one: Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows* [15.40]

    In your situation, it should be:

    Thank you for your help but sadly none of these steps worked and the causes being:

    1: The windows has already been updated

    2: The app just installed a wifi driver and not a GPU

    3: I followed the steps but it didn't do anything closing the animations etc.

    I think it is caused by the goverment because its a school computer and most of this model computers has been shut off like mine but i managed to install a new windows 10 so i shouldnt be using this computer right now but it might be from the things that you told me because im no expert and you know better than me

    Edit: I have realised that there is no Display adapters tab in the Device manager so that migt be a problem

    Hello,Batu Ozay

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

    It sounds like you're experiencing significant performance issues with your newly installed Windows 10 on an older computer. Given the symptoms you've described, the lag could indeed be due to missing or outdated drivers, especially for your integrated graphics (Intel HD Graphics). Additionally, the system's overall performance could be affected by other factors, such as system specifications not fully meeting Windows 10's requirements or possibly some configuration settings.

    Let's tackle this step by step:

    1->Update Windows

    Ensure that your Windows 10 is up to date. Windows 10 Updates often automatically detected and pushed through with updates, so I would recommend that you try checking all Windows 10 update lists first.

    2-> Install/Update Drivers through

    You mentioned that your processor is Intel, try visiting Intel's support assistant page. Download the corresponding driver. The following is the link to the official website. This assistant will generally automatically detect your hardware to install your CPU/GPU fan.

Watch out for ads on the site, which may promote products that are often classified as PUPs (potentially harmful products). Please thoroughly research any product advertised on the website before deciding to download and install it.

    3-> Optimize Performance Settings

    Adjusting Windows for best performance can also help:

    • Press Windows+i > Go to Systems > Scroll down and Click About> Advanced system settings > Settings under Performance. -> Choose Adjust for best performance and apply the changes. This will disable many visual effects that can slow down your system.
    • Remember to plug in your computer when performing these operations to ensure it is running as plugged in. Watch to see if your framerate improves.

    By following these steps, you should be able to improve the performance of your Windows 10 installation. If the lag persists even after these adjustments, it might be worth considering if the computer's hardware is just too outdated for a satisfactory experience with Windows 10, in which case exploring lighter operating systems or ultimately upgrading the hardware might be necessary.

    Feel free to let me know the status.
