About sidetone. I have an headset Steelseries Arctis 5, and it has sidetone as a function, so in my previous laptop Legion Y540 I could change my sidetone level in audio settings (Windows 11). Now I bought new laptop Asus Zephyrus G16, but I can't now change my sidetone level, the function has disappeared. I can change level of sidetone in software, but max level of it is not enough for me. How to make this function come back?

Steelseries support responded me it's a Windows issue and they can't help.

The latest drivers are installed.

    Hello, qwiruu

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Thanks for your feedback, I understand  You are experiencing an issue where you cannot adjust the Siderone level in your system.

Since this feature is provided by the sound card driver, if it does not appear, it likely means the sound card driver does not currently support it.

You can try the following methods to restore or enhance the sidetone feature:

    Update or install the driver

Download and install the latest audio driver or related software for the Zephyrus G16 from the ASUS website to ensure that Windows recognizes the headset and provides this feature properly.

    Check Windows “Recording” settings

Right-click the speaker icon in the system tray and select “Sound settings.” Then, under “Recording” devices, find your headset (or microphone) and look for “Device properties” or “Additional device properties,” seeking an option like “Listen to this device.” Some models may include sidetone as part of microphone monitoring.

    Try the manufacturer’s control panel

If the new laptop has a pre-installed or downloadable ASUS control center (or audio management program), check the recording or microphone options for any sidetone-related adjustments.

    Check third-party software settings

If Steelseries Engine or other headset software allows you to adjust sidetone, set it to the maximum, then further adjust it in the Windows or laptop control panel.

Consider using an external sound card or audio device

If the built-in sound card cannot provide a higher sidetone volume, you can use a USB sound card or mixer to amplify the microphone monitoring signal at the hardware level.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider contacting ASUS support for further assistance, as hardware models may differ in how they support the sidetone feature.

I hope the information above can help you.If my understanding is wrong, please point it out, so that I can assist you better.
