Turn off Windows "desktop" notifications for MS Teams and Outlook

Is there a way to keep banner icons and sound notifications for these two programs, but turn off the "desktop" notification pop-up window?  I have searched and searched for how to do this ,but every solution seems to turn off "all" notification types not just the desktop pop-up window.

    Hi Ali Forrester,

From my experience, it might be the Microsoft Teams web client (https://teams.microsoft.com/) from your web browser in Windows 10 system notification.

See the following image, these notifications came from teams.microsoft.com in Microsoft Edge browser:

In this situation, you can go to Teams web client (https://teams.microsoft.com/), click the lock icon in the address bar, then you can turn off the notification from Microsoft Teams.

If you're in the another situation, please kindly share us a screenshot of the desktop notification from Teams in your environment, so that we can make a further analysis and share better solutions to your.

    Regards,

    SD

Hi!  Thanks for your response.  I do not use the browser version of these apps (not logged in), i use the desktop windows apps exclusively.  It is the windows 10 notification pop-ups that I am trying to turn off for Teams.  Everytime someone sends me a chat a pop-up windows shows in the notfication area on the windows taskbar and blocks my view for a few seconds.  Very annoying ,and I already have sound and banner icons so I really don't need this function.  I will wait for the next notification to pop up and try to grab a screen shot before it fades.

You probably want to vote for this feature: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/16950997-integrate-with-windows-10-notification-center

Teams isn't actually integrated with the Windows 10 notification center (go figure). So there's really no way to turn them off other than what's been suggested. If it's properly integrated with the notification center, you'll then be able to control the settings as you can with other apps, as well as hide all notifications properly with Focus Assist

Yes, I saw outlook listed in the windows notification settings window after I posted this.  Was able to set to sounds only.  However, ms Teams is not listed as an app option here (only outlook was).  So I am still unable to turn off the desktop notifications for Teams.
