Right Click on Spell Check does not display suggested words, does not display 'add to dictionary'

Hi,

This is for Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2023.920.900 (Production), Client Version is 20230915006.19.

When Outlook identifies a potential selling error, it displays a wavy red underline under the word.

When right clicking to view the suggested spelling or add word to the dictionary, neither option appears.

Only an option for 'copy' appears when right clicking on a unlined word.

Attaching an image does not appear to be working. Using a link to imgur to host image of problem. https://imgur.com/a/IqknWzn

This problem is exclusive to Outlook, and does not occur in Microsoft Teams, Office, or other products.

Thanks,

Jason

    Appreciate the response Hal.

I've tried de-selecting the word, and left clicking only. This does not work. Double left clicking yields the font settings prompt.

Interesting. Upon further testing, I've discovered that the issue only occurs when the reply is written in the 'docked' mode of Outlook. Spell check is functioning as expected if it is written in a new window ('open in new window' is selected before beginning message composition.) Based on this behavior, I believe I'm looking at a bug in the software.

    Thanks again,

    Jason

this left click is hugelly annoying. what's the point to change it? the right click feature is a standard feature across all the Microsoft apps why to change? What is the keyboard shortcut to left click in outlook? Any help with that at least?

In your screen clip, the misspelled word is also highlighted. UN-highlight the word and try left click instead of right click:
