Shared Outlook calendar shows wrong timezone in Google calendar. Timezone when importing a shared Outlook calendar is wrong. When importing the link to the Google Calendar, the shared calendar settings says that the timezone is GMT+00:00 -- It's grayed out and I cannot change it. How can I correct this issue?

Hello, I've tried all suggestions above and none of them worked for me.
However I found one weird thing: if I share my Outlook Calendar statically (that is, using 'Share calendar' instead of 'Publish calendar') with my Gmail account, the time zone is correct. Of course this way the events are not synched, just imported.

the fix I found is to use this tool https://www.outlookgooglecalendarsync.com/ I used the beta version (setup.exe) and worked like a charm out of the box, and I strongly recommend to check the video tutorial at https://youtu.be/Oi9JPw2ETyg?feature=shared

(The code-base is open on github so I felt confident in using it)

You can even choose which "directions" to synk, eg from outlook to google, or from google to outlook

    Hi again,

In the end I used a third party solution that I found on another forum thread:

Outlook Google Calendar Sync - OGCS | Application Versions

For me it has fixed all the bugs that I have had since new outlook, namely both the time zone issue and the issue of outlook events not updating in google calendar.

I have also seen another third party solution that seems to be working for some, but is costs a small amount of money : CalendarBridge | Sync All Your Calendars

Hopefully this can help someone else!

    All best,

    Anna

    Dear Lauren,

If the shared Outlook calendar is displaying the wrong timezone in your Google Calendar, there are a few steps you can take to try and correct the issue:

    1. Open Google Calendar on your computer.
    2. On the left side of the screen, click on the three horizontal lines to open the menu.
    3. Scroll down and click on “Settings”.
    4. In the “Settings” menu, scroll down to “Time zone” and click on it.
    5. Make sure that your time zone is set correctly.
    6. Scroll down to “Your current time zone” and click on it.
    7. Select “Display all time zones”.
    8. Find your time zone and select it.
    9. Click “Save” at the bottom of the page.

If this doesn’t work, you can try changing the time zone of your Outlook calendar by following these steps:

    1)Open Outlook on your computer.

2)Click on “File” in the top left corner of the screen.

    1. Click on “Options”.

4)Click on “Calendar” in the left-hand menu.

    5)Scroll down to “Time zones”.

    1. Make sure that your time zone is set correctly.
    2. If it’s not, select the correct time zone from the drop-down menu.
    3. Click “OK” at the bottom of the page.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, there may be a technical problem or compatibility issue between the two calendar systems. In that case, you might consider reaching out to the support teams for both Google Calendar and Outlook for further assistance.
