Office Classic Menu

I am finding the ribbon extremely user-UNfriendly, and trying to figure it out reduces my productivity immensely.

I understand that the ribbon is easier for new users and that this is your target market.

However, what about those of us who took years to master the menus and tabs... and (apart from the ribbon) like Microsoft Office products?

Why not at least offer the classic menu as an option ... as a courtesy to long-time *loyal* users??

It would be very good customer service as well as good PR for Microsoft.

You did not answer my question.

Obviously I know that there is no option available to change the ribbon view.

    I asked why there isn't.

From your answer I gather that you can't answer the question ... and that there will never be an option.

It's also made clear that Microsoft management does not care about the productivity and convenience of its long-time loyal users.

Thanks for the helpful links but If I am going to learn a new interface I might as well switch to Apple.

Apparently they care a bit more about their customers' user experience.
