Please add option to sort search result by "updated"

Hi,

When we go the questions page or the Ideas page then we have the following options to sort the threads: 12730-image.png

Unfortunately, when I use the search option, I only have the following options: 12912-image.png which does not fit me.

Can you add the option to sort the result of the search by the updated date please

In the TechNet forums there was a summary on the left hand side that showed My Threads, Answered, Unanswered, and Unread. I am not overly concerned about the first three, but I constantly used the Unread to be able to find those posts to which I had responded and then someone else in turn responded. It made it easy to continue conversations. The current navigation provided by docs leaves much to be desired. Yes, I can request to have docs email me, but that is totally screwed up right now. And it is much nicer to have a capability within the tool (docs Q&A) which automatically provides this capability instead of requiring a separate step to be performed on each reply posted that creates spam in ones mailbox.

I always used the My Threads view for this exact same purpose. The ones with bolded subject have new unread replies. They have at some point promised these things but nothing yet. I think the devada answerhub canned interface is limiting or in opposition to some items.

Sorry it took so long to respond to your reply, Dave. Not being able to see My Threads means I have to try to remember everywhere I posted or else sequentially read through every tag I am following. Very inefficient. I also use the bolded option to read new replies to topics. I used the italicized option to see posts I had not previously read. So many of the ease of navigation features of TechNet forums were completely overlooked in QnA forums, almost like the product was developed by people who never used TechNet. Bottom line, I am struggling with the transition.

Couldn't agree more, we discussed a lot of this during design and preview but it got pushed out as is any way.

The option "My Threads" is the first one I always use, at the second that I go the MSDN/TechNet forum. My priority is always to follow threads which I already started to help, since maybe someone responded to my message. Moreover, once I start to help, then I try to make sure we solve the issue and I usually continue to the end :-)

It made it easy to continue conversations....

Totally agree 👍

This is perfect timing. We are specing the filtering and sorting mechanisms for each of the pages. Unread is in our scope as well. Thank you all!

Thank you for adding this to your scope. I am sure that conversations on any post are interrupted currently because one has no idea if someone has responded to a post they made.
