Failure to receive QnA-noreply@Microsoft.com

There are many threads with activity where email notices were not received.

Today is 10/15/2021.

The last QnA-noreply@Microsoft received was on 10/12/2021.

So for 3 days there have been no email notices.

The notices were typically 10 - 30 per day.

Please fix the email notices so that when there is thread activity notices are sent and received.

@Docs-4663 - We are checking this. We see the original poster accepted your answer in https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/592615/updating-windows-10-pro-manually-from-build-19043.html?childToView=592617#answer-592617 and you have a settings to receive a mail where an user accepts your answer.

Could you please search with the content user name to see if the email notifications moved to Spam or Junk folder.

Today is 10/16/2021.

There are no QnA in the spam folder.

The last notice received via email was: Tue, Oct 12, 2021 2:39 pm (QnA-noreply@microsoft.com)

@Docs-4663 - We have made a change on 10/12/2021 related to email notification setup and validating if our changes causing this. As a first step, I have recycled our backend instances to see if that helps to fix the issue.

  1. Can you please check now whether you are receiving email now?

  2. Did you made any changes on email notification preferences or on your profile in last few days?

There were no recent modifications to the email preferences.

I had clicked follow on many threads and was wondering if there was a limit?

@Docs-4663 - Thanks for sharing the details. We will investigate further. Between, can you please confirm did you get any mails now? Because I recycled our backend instances a few minutes ago.

Just checked at 11:15 PM CT and there were no new emails.

@Docs-4663 - Can you please turn off and then turn on the email notifications from your profile settings?

Just turned off notifications and then restarted.

I've been experiencing the same problem as Docs-4663. I don't have the exact time when I received my most recent notification, but it seems to agree quite well with Docs; it was early Tuesday.

I just replied to a post that was posted three hours ago (i.e. approx 2021-10-17 16:00 UTC), for which I should have received a notification, see https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/587420/update-stats-error-msg-1222-lock-request-time-out.html?childToView=593230#answer-593230.

Here is an interesting titbit: I temporarily changed my notification address to a subdomain that is hosted by a different provider. During this period, I received two notifications. I have just opened a support case with my regular provider, as there is a distinct smell that they are having some blacklist in force. I was not aware of this thread when I mailed their support desk. But the fact you say that you have made a reconfiguration, is interesting to know.

Sounds promising. I have not received any notifications, but I don't have notifications set up for feedback items, so that is alright. Nor does there seem to have been any activity in the threads I monitor for the last few hours. I should know tomorrow morning my time, as the -msft staff goes on their shift while I'm in bed and they produce a number of replies.

Email notices have been received throughout the day.
And the notification with ErlandSommarskog's new post was just viewed.
