I have been trying to reset the password on two online accounts creation and etsy and I request the password reset links but they never arrive in my junbox or inbox. I have trawled the forums to find solutions. My original email is a hotmail account now all through Outlook. I have done ALL the troubles shooting advised and nothing works. Nothing I find in the online forums works so I'm wondering if anyone has actually found a solution to this problem as I have seen I'm not the only one with this problem!!

I have done all that troubleshooting (except getting them to change email on the account ) I dont have another email address, this seems to be an issue a lot of people are having and no troubleshooting solves the problem. Not really great Bo one seems to be able to find out the issue, I can’t get through to anyone in support, I just keep getting sent on loops through online questions and can never actually get access to chat or speak to any tech support!!

Thanks, I’ve already done this. After Etsy managed to find a way around it to help but creation has not so far. I have spent hours on the phone trying to sort the issue. I was on the phone with creation today and they tried sending it several times but no luck. I get all other mail from them but I can get emails where verification codes or password reset links are sent. I have seen from Microsoft forums this is a real problem.

Hello Tamara M! I'm Ivan and I'd be happy to help you with your question,

This issue could be caused by various factors, and I'll provide some possible solutions to help you resolve it:

    1. Check Spam/Junk Folders: Sometimes, legitimate emails, including password reset links, might end up in the spam or junk folder. Please double-check these folders to ensure the emails haven't been incorrectly marked as spam.
    2. Whitelist Sender Domains: Ensure that the domains of the websites you are trying to reset passwords for (e.g., creation.com, etsy.com) are whitelisted or added to your safe senders list. This can prevent emails from being blocked or filtered by your email provider.
    3. Contact Email Provider Support: If you've checked the spam folders and whitelisted the sender domains, but you still don't receive the password reset emails, consider reaching out to your email provider's support team (Outlook/Hotmail) for assistance. They can check if there are any specific issues with your account or if there's a filtering problem on their end.
    4. Verify Email Address: Double-check that you are entering the correct email address associated with your online accounts. Sometimes, simple typos in the email address can lead to not receiving password reset links.
    5. Try Alternate Email Address: If possible, try using an alternate email address for the password reset process. This can help you determine if the issue is specific to your Hotmail/Outlook account or if it's a broader problem.
    6. Clear Cache and Cookies: Clearing your browser's cache and cookies might help if there are any stored settings or preferences causing issues with email delivery.
    7. Temporarily Disable Email Rules: If you have set up any email rules or filters in your account, temporarily disable them and check if the password reset emails come through.
    8. Temporary Email Service: As a temporary measure, you can use temporary email services to receive the password reset links. Please be cautious and use trusted temporary email providers.

Regarding forums, it's possible that solutions may vary depending on the specific email provider and account settings. Therefore, the most reliable support for email-related issues would come directly from your email provider's official support channels.

Contact Etsy and Creation and ask them what you need to do.
