Set Default Browser to DuckDuckGo

Question

I have set DuckDuckGo as my default browser on start up yet I still keeps loading the Edge browser.

I am getting really annoyed at this as it feels like an attempt to force those that pay for a product to intentionally override their selection.

How do I set the DuckDuckGo browser as my default once and for all?!

Can you check your Microsoft Edge version?

Open Edge > Click 3 dots

Select "Help and Feedback"

Click About Microsoft Edge

**Please try restarting your computer first

**Please try to Disable or Uninstall Edge extensions

Open Edge > Click 3 dots > Extensions

Please check if one of your Extensions is causing the issue.

Thank you for updating me with that information. I tried to set the same settings you have on my pc and the Edge starts with DuckDuckGo.

If the issue still persists, You may need to consider performing a Reset of Microsoft Edge

Open Edge then click 3 dots > Settings

Select Reset Settings > Restore settings to their default values

Click Reset

Restart your computer

After that, please try to set DuckDuckGo again.

Edge > Click 3 dots > Settings

Select "Start, home, and new tabs" > Open these new pages >

Click "Add new page" > https://duckduckgo.com/

I am kinda confused since you mention you want DuckDuckGo as your default browser, did you mean as the first page to load up in Edge and instead of Bing, DDG?

DuckDuckGo

There is no DDG browser for Windows, please clarify your issue please.
