Installing or updating Microsoft Edge on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I set up loaner devices to just use the browser. I recently updated them to Windows10-2004 and installed the new Edge browser. I just get a blank blue screen when I try to sign in with kiosk mode after setting it up to open with Edge (the Icon that I am able to select still looks like the old one). Does anyone know if I need to go back to the old OS or the old Edge?

I came here with the same problem as "Idontlikechangebutwilldomybest,"
Read the responses and followed the links to other articles. Tried those but nothing worked (Downloaded the Canary version of Edge Chromium) which worked in regular Windows, but was not a choice when setting up a kiosk.
Finally uninstalled that and force-uninstalled Chredge.
Computer reverted to the old Edge which the kiosk uses as expected.
Such a simple task to set up a kiosk the old way, made impossible by Chredge.
Hi @Idontlikechangebutwilldomybest,
We appreciate you reaching out, and I’m pleased to share some good news with you: as of this month, we’ve enabled Kiosk mode in the new Microsoft Edge! This will offer an initial set of functionalities that can be piloted on Windows 10 devices. You can check out the full announcement HERE.
Kiosk mode can be used with command-line options, where you can define your own story of lockdown. For the best lockdown experience, we recommend using assigned access with kiosk mode – there’s a preview available with the Windows Insiders release.
We’re excited for you to give it a try! Feel free to let us know what you think by submitting feedback through the browser (Shift+Alt+I from a PC.)

Thanks for the links. Those solutions do not fit our needs. I will be reinstalling the old edge and holding off any updates until this issue is resolved.
Hello everyone. Thank you for trying kiosk mode with the new Microsoft Edge.
As my colleague, Fawkes mentioned we have just released the first set of features of kiosk mode with Windows 10.
This article goes in depths on how to set up kiosk mode on Windows 10 with (or without) assigned access: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/DeployEdge/microsoft-edge-configure-kiosk-mode
