internet access blocked, says antivirus or firewall is blocking it although it never happened before

Hi I have a problem with my internet access, had this laptop for a couple of months now and it pops up all of a sudden, it has never happened before and I have a couple of assignments to hand up so pls help me if you have any suggestions.

My problem persists in saying my internet access has been blocked, and that firewall or antivirus software may have blocked the connection. I know this is not my internet problem because it works fine on other devices besides my laptop.

I already tried most of the methods I found online, disabling my windows firewall, allowing apps and so forth, restore defaults etc, even uninstalled my anti virus software, nothing worked. I tried resetting network, running troubleshooting, but so far nothing worked. My windows is also updated to the latest version.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Here's my specs

CPU: Intel i7 - 10510U/BGA

RAM: LPDDR3 16G

VRAM: 4GB

OS type: Win10 64bit

Model: Asus Zenbook 15

Just uninstalling with Programs & features does not remove all the bad code.

    Run Windows Security and Malwarebytes.

    Good Day Kannakomiyu,

My name is Carlo, I'm an Independent Advisor and community member like you.

I am also using Windows 10 pc. Let us work together to sort this out.

-Does it happen to all the browser and all the websites you are trying to access?

Can you please try to use other browser and check or access other website for us to isolate the issue.

    -Are you using VPN?

-What is the anti-virus you are using?

For the meantime here's the steps you can try.

-Click Start, type CMD and run as administrator

-Copy and paste each of the command below and hit enter.

    netsh int ip reset

    netsh advfirewall reset

    netsh winsock reset

    ipconfig / flushdns

    ipconfig / release

    ipconfig / renew

    Forget the Network

    -Press Windows key + X

    -Click Settings

    -Click Network and Internet

-Click WIFI then Manage Known Network

-Click your WIFI name and hit Forget.

    -Press Windows key + X

    -Go to Device Manager

    -Expand the Network Adapter

-Look for wireless driver that was installed

    -Right click and Update

-Look for "Browse my computer for driver

-Let me pick drivers available drivers

-Choose an old driver and use it.

Visit this link and enable IPV6

    https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/90033-enabl...

Restart your computer and check the connection.

I hope the information above helps. Please let me know how it goes.

Have a wonderful day ahead and stay safe.

    Sincerely,

    Carlo T.

hi there! thank you for taking the time to help me out, I really appreciate it. To answer your questions,

    1. yes it affects all my browser and websites.
    2. no, I'm not using any VPN or connected to one.
    3. the anti-virus I'm currently using is trendmirco

I already tried the steps you listed down except the old driver and ipv6 as I'm not very sure of the instructions. Mind if I ask will any of them affect the data on my laptop? I would prefer not to do anything like a factory reset if I can. So far my problem still persists.

    Good Day Kannakomiyu,

I appreciate your time getting back to this thread, no it wont affect any of your data in enabling the IPV6.

    Once done Disable Proxy settings

    -Press Window key + X

    -Go to Settings

    -Select Network & Internet.

-From the left pane, click on Proxy.

-Under Automatic proxy setup, switch on Automatically detect settings option.

-Under Manual proxy setup, disable Use a proxy server option.

-Close the settings window and restart your PC.

If the issue persists, perform Repair Upgrade, this will re-install the Windows without affecting your files and apps, it will repair and replace any corrupted system files.

Try to use Ethernet Lan cable to connect to the internet temporarily.

Step 1: Download Media Creation Tool from Microsoft.

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-downlo...

    Click “Download Tool Now”

    Step 2: Run MediaCreationTool.exe.

Step 3: Choose "Upgrade this PC now".
