Outlook 2016 - Search results not showing categories or flags

In Outlook 2016, search does not show flags or categories in the results list.  These columns are blank even for emails assigned to a category or are flagged.  Flags and categories are still seen in the preview pane.  This is only a problem with search; when looking at the inbox or other folder without searching flags and categories show in the list as they should.

    hi all,

    here is a workaround:

    1. open outlook.
    2. go to view tab, click change view and choose single.
    3. search the emails, the categories and flags will show in the search result.

moreover, as this feature is for outlook 2016 client and our forum focuses on office 365 for business online service, it is suggested you post it on our outlook client forum for dedicated help.

    thanks for your understanding.

    Hi David,

I have performed a test here and the scenario can be reproduced as well.

I have escalated it to our related team to confirm if it’s an expected behavior or issue.

I’ll post back if there is any update.

    Thanks,

    Franky
