Software Environment: Stopped System Drivers

In "System Drivers" within Software Environment, the "State" of most of the drivers is "Stopped." How do I get them "Running?" Because of the Stopped drivers, an HP tech said that HP's security needed to be installed. (I had HP installing printer software last week. Bad idea. Today I uninstalled all HP apps & components--I hope.)

    Hi,

Since your system drivers were stopped, you can certainly start them again through Task Manager. Kindly follow these steps:

    1. You have to right click the task bar and then click on Task Manager.
    2. Please select the Servicestab on the Task Manager window.
    3. When you see the list of programs that are currently stopped, please right click on each of them then click on Start.

Some of the drivers still won't run ((don't know which actually need to be or not).

We suggest reaching out to your device manufacturer, HP, for more assistance regarding the drivers that were stopped in your computer. Since most of the drivers weren't running after installing a printer, their personnel can definitely identify which of them needs to be restarted.

I don't trust the HP techs. (They were very unprofessional and/or incompetent). I uninstalled the HP printer. There are still many "stopped" drivers listed in the "Software Environment" that can't be started (no selection/right click option) from that location.
