After Win 11 Update - Pinned Quick Access locations slow to lead

Good Morning! 🌞

Recently updated to Win 11 Enterprise, Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22662.1000.0. When opening File Explorer, the pinned quick access items in the left-hand pane is lagging, taking between 5-10 to load, which is seriously hampering my workflow. In Win 10, there was no lag whatsoever. What can be done to fix this?

Please let me know. Thank you!

I've found that the issue appears only with network directories pinned. Quick access containing only local directories works well. Bug?

    Hello

I have followed the 3 CMD prompts above, restarted the machine, and re-populated my pinned quick access folders in the left hand navigation pane.

It has improved but still lags a bit, and is not the instantaneous experience of Windows 10.

This lag is most notable in a "save as" dialogue window pop up, or within a program application when you use " file open "

    Thank you

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

There may be a corrupt entry in your Quick Access, this method should fix the problem, but it will delete everything from Quick Access, they will need to be re-populated.

Click your Start Button, then just type cmd and on the resulting menu, right click Command Prompt and select 'Run as Administrator'

Paste this command into Command Prompt and press Enter:

    del /F /Q %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\*

Paste this command into Command Prompt and press Enter:

    del /F /Q %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations\*

Paste this command into Command Prompt and press Enter:

    del /F /Q %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\CustomDestinations\*

Then, close Command Prompt and restart (not shut down) your PC.

If you are not the admin on the PC, you will need to ask whoever has admin rights to perform those steps for you.
