How do I start a header on a page later than page 1?

Hello! I'm trying to insert a header for a 300-page document, but I don't want the header to start until page 14. When I try inserting the header there, it automatically inserts it on every page, including the ones before p. 14, where I don't want it. Does anyone know how to have a header start later in a document and not appear before that? Thank you!

Place the insertion point at the end of page 13.

Activate the (Page) Layout tab of the ribbon.

Click on the Breaks button and select Next Page from the dropdown menu.

Activate the header of page 14.

Click to deselect the 'Link to Previous' button in the Navigation group of the Design tab of the ribbon.

Click Previous to go to the header of the first section.

You can now clear this header without affecting that of the second section.

When in the Header that starts on Page 14, click on the Page Number dropdown in the Header & Footer section of the Header & Footer Tools>Design tab of the ribbon and select Format Page Numbers... and then in the Page Number Format dialog select the radio button for "Continue from previous section" in the Page Numbering section of the dialog.

Thank you so much! That worked—except it started new page numbering on the page the running head starts now. But I need it to have continuous page numbering from the beginning so p. 14 (the first page with my header now, thank you!) is paginated as p. 14 instead of p.1 of a new section. Can anyone help with that? This is my first time on this forum, and it's great!

Yes, that worked. Thank you so much, Hans and Doug. You both saved me! :)
