QueueUserAPC2 not exported

After reading Raymond Chen's blog here The case of the APC that never arrives I became curious about nf-processthreadsapi-queueuserapc2. However, an attempt to test the function failed because it appears that it was not exported from kernel32.dll in Windows 10 21H1. Does this export exist in Windows 11 or Windows 10 21H2?

I suspect that the documentation is incorrect and that the minimum support client is not Windows XP.

I also can't use QueueUserAPC2 on win10 21H2, but it can be used normally on win11, this may be a documentation error or not exported in win10, I will report this problem to the team, if there is any news, I will update below.

Thank you for following-up. Also, its not clear (at least to me) how we should set NTDDI_VERSION. The 20348 Windows SDK includes NTDDI_WIN10_MN and NTDDI_WIN10_FE in sdkddkver.h but its not readily apparent what version/build of Win10 they apply to.

Yes, there doesn't seem to be a specific description of the relevant official documentation about NTDDI_WIN10_MN and NTDDI_WIN10_FE , but we should better focus on the question of QueenUserAPC2 first, and you can ask a new question in Q&A about the NTDDI_VERSION.

The reason I mentioned NTDDI_VERSION is because the declaration of QueueUserAPC2 in the 20348 SDK headers is guarded to require NTDDI_VERSION minimum of NTDDI_WIN10_MN.

So it's just another aspect of the same problem of a version requirements.

Thank you for confirming that this is a Win10 bug.

The erroneous documentation at nf-processthreadsapi-queueuserapc2 should be corrected.

Is any further information available for the NTDDI_VERSION issue?

I have mentioned NTDDI_VERSION issue in the internal feedback, I think it should be that the kernel32.dll of win10 may missed this function when exporting (currently I have not tested it on win7 and win8).

I tested on Win 8.1 and the function is not exported.

Just tested on Win7 SP1 and the function is not exported.
