Creating site page from saved template throws error : -2147024809, System.ArgumentException& message ;Invalid data has been used to update the list item. The field you are trying to update may be read only

Not sure why exactly this is happening only in one subsite.
recently, i deleted a custom column called 'topic' and then added new topic column and made changes to all the content type.
error is: Failed to load resource: .../_api/sitepages/pages(4067)/CopyWithConfiguration
the server responded with a status of 400 ()
I tried deleting the saved template and tried to create new template, by choosing save as template option, however i am getting same error as:
Inner-Message: Invalid data has been used to update the list item. The field you are trying to update may be read only.
Exception-Message: We're sorry, we encountered an unexpected error. Please refresh the page and try again.
however if i refresh the page, it removes the webparts in the template and readding it will resolve the issue.
Currently the templates content type is handbook chapters, however if i change it to site page and try to create new site page from it, issue resolves.
can anyone help me with this,

What does "save as template" means?
Whether "handbook chapters" is a custom content type?

2022-09-15T08:51:42.333+00:00 when you create a new page, next to save as draft option you find an drop down arrow, when you click on that, you get option to save as template(this will save the page as template, so that we can use that template when we want to create new page)
Yes, we have many other content types and handbook chapters is one among them.
Issue happens only with the handbook chapters content type under a specific subsite only.
If an saved template has site pages as a content type, i dont get any error.
However if the saved template is handbook chapters, i am getting the issue.If there is a way to connect with you directly, i can show you what exactly is happening.

I suggest you open a service request with Microsoft to get help.
