Hi All,

We are trying to restrict certain people from editing a file in excel while others can edit. When we use the 'restrict access' for certain individuals it removes the ability for the document to autosave. Is there any workaround for this? We need to be able to have multiple people working within the document and have it autosave while also restricting other people from editing. I cannot seem to make that work.

We are using the latest available version of excel and have the spreadsheet uploaded to teams so multiple people can collaborate and work within the document at the same time. The issue is some people change things they shouldn't while others dont. We want to make the document viewable to all within the team however restrict editing capabilities to a select few. From the research I've done, when access is restricted to certain people and open to others, the autosave function doesn't work. Which means you can't have multiple people working within the same document because it's not autosaving.
